The same combined Category 2 and 3 sticking now moves into 12/8. Stay aware of the accent type and the motion it calls for, and once the phrases feel secure, start voicing them on the kit with bass drum support under any cymbal work.
From there, apply one or more foot ostinatos — including the poly-pulse options — to keep building hand/foot independence. You’re also free to create your own ostinato as your control over independent rhythmic lines grows.
