The DC Classroom contains step-by-step lessons taught by several of our legendary instructors here on Drum Channel. There are 3 semesters that contain 16 weeks worth of lessons. These lessons focus on your technique, playing, reading and include playalongs for you to test your skills with every week. Follow along with the best drummers in the world as they take you from where you are, to where you want to go.
Choose your starting semester
Semester 1
This 16-week Beginner course includes 86 lessons (topics). Every drummer works in 4 areas when they practice – TECHNIQUE, READING, INDEPENDENCE, PLAYING. In these Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced 16-week courses you will progress week-by-week in each of the 4 areas, just as if you were studying with a private instructor. Start your lessons with the best drummers in the world!
Semester 2
This 16-week Intermediate course includes 76 lessons (topics). You will continue to improve your Technique and Independence as you work on more advanced Rudiments and Beats. For additional practice, you can work on Rudiments in the DC Academy Rudiments course. Our “Patented Practice Assist Metronome™” makes go faster and gives you 15-minute practice routines.
Semester 3
This 16-week Advanced course includes 55 lessons (topics). This is where you will learn there is only one “Secret” to getting faster, Practice. There are some fundamental review lessons along with challenging exercises and vital information on how to combine the fulcrum, wrist, fingers and forearm so you can follow and motivate the bounce of the stick to play anything you hear.
