This rudiment has gone by more than one name over the years — “windmill” and “flammed mill” refer to the same thing. It begins like a flam tap, followed by two single strokes, at which point the sticking reverses; it’s actually more approachable than the flam paradiddle, and translates well to the drum set. Two of the notated examples reverse the sticking on the repeat, so watch for that.
