Supplement 36A: 4-Note Grouping in 4/4 (Variation #2) | Part 1 of 3
This variation keeps the 4-note group but now places the third note in the bass drum, applied across the same quarter-note-to-32nd-note sequence (triplet included). As always, the goal is controlling both the shifting note values and the hand/foot coordination — stay aware of the group’s first note so the downbeat doesn’t get lost, and expect the triplet value to be the most demanding due to its cross-rhythmic pull against the group.
