As in previous lessons, the ostinato may be applied with the feet to create interesting, challenging patterns and phrases — keep the focus on hand-and-foot coordination and choose ostinatos that are manageable. Apply the ostinato phrases in Supplement 25B to the accent phrases in Supplement 25A, choosing ones that don’t interfere with proper hand motion and phrasing, and stay aware of the polyrhythmic feel some of the ostinato phrases create.
