Supplement 60B: Etude #1 Using Mixed Artificial And Normal Note Values | Part 2 of 3

This short etude for the full kit mixes artificial and normal note values throughout, and how you stick and voice it is entirely up to you. Start on the snare to get comfortable with the mixture of values, then try a few different sticking approaches — hand-to-hand only, a Category sticking matched to each grouping, or your own improvised sticking based on how you want to voice it around the kit. Play it at a tempo you’re comfortable with and keep it musical.
