These phrases mix the quintuplet value into a beat’s worth of normal duple and triplet rhythm, so the goal is fully internalizing how the artificial value sits against the values around it. Stay locked into the beat and tempo so the time flow doesn’t drift, and once the phrasing feels comfortable, start voicing the rhythms around the kit using sticking from earlier in the course.
