Flam fives place a flam in front of a five-stroke roll, with accent options on the grace note, the note right after it, or the last note of the roll — and you’ll want to execute it equally well leading with either hand. Follow the sticking carefully since it covers rolls from both sides, and stay relaxed rather than forcing the motion; whether you play the flam open or closed is up to you.
