Supplement 33F: Groove Etude Featuring 16th-Notes and 3- and 4-Note Bass Drum Motion | Part 4 of 4
This etude keeps the focus on groove, timing, coordination, and phrasing in both the lead hand and the bass drum. Pick a tempo that lets you control the etude well — 75–80 bpm is a good starting point. Once you can play it cleanly, apply the same three lead-hand phrasing options used elsewhere (no accents, 2-stroke, 4-stroke), repeating with correct motion and feel until you can play it four times in a row accurately. The lead hand stays in control throughout.
