Supplement 27B: The Pataflafla | Part 2 of 4

A pataflafla can be described as two flams played consecutively in a hand-to-hand, alternating motion — it’s considered asymmetrical because one hand has it easier than the other, depending on which hand leads. In fact, the hand-to-hand and Category 2 sticking examples already covered demonstrate the pataflafla rudiment (Supplement 27B). This rudiment is essentially about playing consecutive hand-to-hand flams, much like those earlier examples — use a metronome to track your progress.
