Supplement 23C: Hand And Foot Combinations Exercises | Part 3 of 3
This is the first in a series of exercises developing control of hand-and-foot combinations, building coordination between the upper and lower body. The bass drum note transposes to a new location in each exercise of four 16th notes, using the leg motion for that single bass drum note — control, not speed, is the priority. The hi-hat can play on the beat, or replace the bass drum note in each example. Use a metronome as needed and work toward even execution (Supplement 23C).
