Supplement 25E: Hand And Foot Combinations | Part 5 of 5
The technique required here depends on tempo: slow-to-medium tempos use the leg motion, while faster tempos call for the ankle-down motion. Consecutive double strokes need a rapid prep motion, so it isn’t necessary to bring the heel all the way to the floor on a downstroke — though the ankle-down motion is still used for all doubles (Supplement 25E). These exercises combine single leg strokes with double ankle-down strokes; let tempo determine the correct motion, and orchestrate once you’re comfortable. Use a metronome and keep a record of your progress.
