Supplement 37A: 4-Note Grouping in 4/4 (Variation #3) | Part 1 of 3
This variation keeps the 4-note group but places the second note in the bass drum, sequenced the same way — quarter notes down to 32nd notes and back, triplet included. The goal, as always, is control over shifting note values and hand/foot coordination; keep track of the group’s first note so the downbeat stays clear, and expect the triplet to be the toughest stretch due to its cross-rhythmic feel.
