Supplement 24F: Hand And Foot Combinations Exercises | Part 4 of 4
These hand-and-foot combinations grow more challenging due to the double-stroke motion in the bass drum — use the ankle-down motion that’s been the focus of this course’s foot technique, and aim for a good time flow between hands and feet. The hi-hat plays the quarter-note pulse and serves as the anchor for your timekeeping; begin voicing the hands once the examples feel comfortable (Supplement 24F). Use single-stroke foot motion for slower tempos and the rebound foot method for faster ones.
