Since joining the legendary Don Ellis Big Band while still attending college and going on to work with an early version of Frank Zappa and the Mothers Of Invention, Ralph Humphrey has become one of the most in-demand drummers and teachers in the Los Angeles area. His studio credits include work with major Jazz artists as well as American Idol, Star Trek, The Simpsons and Family Guy. Ralph, along with Joe Porcaro, also founded the drum department at Musicians Institute and later established the program at Los Angeles College of Music.
