How to Tune Your Toms
John Good was nicknamed "The Drum Whisperer" by Neil Peart. For the past 50 years he has been dedicated to perfecting the drum set. In the early years of DW, much of John's experience was working as a drum tech for drummers with Earth, Wind & Fire, Frank Zappa, Michael Jackson and many others. In this Focus Point, John gives a lesson on tuning tom-toms, explaining how the proper tuning of the head is related to the pitch of the shell.
