The Red Hot Chili Peppers started as a band in 1984. When Chad Smith joined the group in 1988 he quickly became an essential member of the band— playing on chart-topping records, winning Grammy Awards, touring the world and being inducted into the Rock 'N' Roll Hall Of Fame. He has also become a popular performer at drum festivals and educational events as well as an international ambassador for drumming.
