Originally from Peru, in addition to being a member of the legendary fusion band, Weather Report, Alex Acuña is a first call session player who has performed on recordings for major artists such as session player for Michael Jackson, Chick Corea, Whitney Houston and many, many more. Alex is also an authority on Latin music and known for his unique ability to transfer those percussion rhythms to the drumset.
