Biography
Omar Abidi is a London native of Arabic and Portuguese descent. He is the self taught drummer for Fightstar, a post-hardcore band that formed in late 2003. Abidi is as passionate about life as he is about the art of drumming.
Fightstar was born after an impromptu jam session at lead vocalist/guitarist Charlie Simpson’s home. The band released their first EP, They Liked You Better When You Were Dead, in February of 2005. The album was heavily influenced by the author Chuck Palahniuk, evident in the song “Palahniuk’s Laughter.”
