Walfredo de los Reyes Jr., the son of drum legend Walfredo Sr. and brother of percussionist Daniel, was born in Cuba and raised in Puerto Rico surrounded by the rich heritage of Latino music. Walfredo Reyes Jr. combined cultural tradition, lessons from his father, and his love of the drum set to develop a unique, worldly, rhythmic sound. Some said that Walfredo Reyes Jr. simultaneously sounded like a drummer and a percussionist.

Conscious of the valuable education he received, Walfredo Reyes Jr. taught seminars and clinics to share his knowledge with future musicians. Walfredo Reyes Jr. also regularly taught private lessons to his own students. In order to reach a wider audience, Walfredo Reyes Jr. developed the DVD Global Beats to share with young drummers.

As a versatile player, Walfredo Reyes Jr.'s is skills have been demanded in both the studio and on the live stage. Walfredo Reyes Jr. performed with Carlos Santana, Traffic, Steve Winwood, Jackson Browne, Celia Cruz, Gloria Estefan, David Lindley, Ricki Lee Jones, Richard Marx, Sergio Mendes, Smokey Robinson, Robbie Robertson, Joe Sample, Boz Scaggs, Christina Aguilera, Ricky Martin, and Johnny Hallyday. Wally also played with his own eclectic fusion ensemble, Wallyworld. Most recently, he toured with Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac.
