Basic Background Info
French Canadian drummer Eric Boudreault currently splits time between Montreal and Los Angeles. Just three years old, Eric Boudreault began playing the drums. Two years later he experimentally pounded around on his very own drum kit. When Eric Boudreault turned seven, Eric began taking his musical education moer seriously and enrolled in drum lessons. Eric Boudreault performed with his first band by age ten. During his grade school years, he played with several symphony orchestras, including one that toured Europe.
After high school, Eric Boudreault attended Concordia University and Alma College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in music performance and a performance degree in music. Modern Drummer, DRUM! Magazine, and Drums Etc.all featured articles highlighting Eric Boudreault's achievements; he even appeared on the cover of Drums Etc.
A versatile musician, Eric Boudreault played with funk bands, swing bands, Latin groups, hip hop acts, rock bands, and alternative outfits. Eric Boudreault taught lessons for Italmelodie for four years and spent the past three traveling with the hit show Cavalia. Eric Boudreault's current project is a nu jazz band called WAZA with Cavalia co-performer and keyboardist Sylvain Gagnon. They released their debut album, Inizio, on Effendi Records in 2006.
