Lesson 2 - Basic Rock Beat, Single Strokes, Dynamics

1. Counting
2. Two-Part Snare Drum
3. Two-Part Bass Drum
4. Three-Part Bass Drum, Snare Drum, Hi-Hat
5. Singles Around Drums
6. Right Hand on Drumset

There is a lot to learn in this lesson. Spend as much time as you need on two part exercises using the snare drum and high-hat and then proceed to 3-part exercises adding the bass drum. When you play single strokes around the drums, stay relaxed, let the stick bounce off the head to get the best sound and most speed.
